Aquaponics with entrepreneur Cedric Fayolle

Whether it's growing clean food, guiding new entrepreneurs, or designing digital tools for small businesses, one thing has always remained at the core of my work: education through hands-on experience.

I'm Cedric Fayolle — a Mauritian-French entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for both plants and people. From early on, I’ve been drawn to systems that connect nature, design, and learning. Whether landscaping a garden or producing fresh food, growing things has always grounded me — and sharing that journey with others gives it purpose.

My career started in 2001 in the tourism industry, where I spent over 16 years running a successful scuba diving school and operation in Mauritius. I had the chance to teach and certify more than 4,000 students, sharing the underwater world with locals and tourists alike while managing day-to-day operations and team leadership.

Later, I transitioned into vocational education as a plumbing instructor, which opened the door to more technical, water-related systems — a foundation that naturally led to my deep dive into aquaponics.

Since 2017, I’ve become one of the early aquaponics consultants and system designers in Mauritius, combining international learning with local innovation. I’ve trained over 1,200 students across schools, homes, and farming projects, and developed low-maintenance, gravity-fed systems that align with real-world needs and budget realities. My approach emphasizes balance, efficiency, and simplicity — principles shaped by years of design refinement and client feedback.

As part of a broader passion for thoughtful, practical design, I started a small Airbnb complex in 2018 where comfort meets simplicity. With years of hospitality experience and a background in sustainable systems, each unit is carefully maintained to offer a clean, quiet, and self-sufficient stay — ideal for both short getaways and longer remote work trips

In parallel, I launched Adster in 2022, a creative initiative that supports entrepreneurs and SMEs with website design and digital presence across Mauritius, New Zealand, and France. With an innovative lease-to-own model, I help businesses of all sizes access professional websites without heavy upfront costs, making online growth more accessible. This project also led me to create startup training programs and marketing crash courses, aimed at helping others turn ideas into structured, market-ready ventures.

Today, I continue to wear multiple hats — consultant, designer, teacher, and business owner — but at the heart of it all is a simple passion: growing things that matter. Whether it’s food, ideas, or people’s potential, I find purpose in building systems that last — and in sharing the tools to help others do the same.
